Acknowledgements
Many hours have gone into the creation of this organization and its
website. Many more have gone into talking to friends and colleagues
in the Akhal Teke community, both here and abroad. Therefore many
thanks must go to all those whom provided their help,
prodigious and voluminous as it was!
It is hoped that viewers of this site will realize that we are
trying to provide facts which pertain to the background of the breed
we love and have dedicated ourselves to; be we from Canada, Russia,
the United States, Turkmenistan, Europe and any-and-all places
in-between.
Needless to say
- a breed which, due to its troubled history, its
lengthy history, its critically few numbers and the cultural and
language barriers contributed by the human element, often has myth
and misinformation being the only elements speaking for it.
It is the ATSBA’s sincere belief that there is room for all
of us within this breed.
